Hi Daniel
The settings controlling this are found:
- For MaaS360 Email - in Workplace policy > Email > Security - see whether to allow synch of contacts and potentially overwrite or not (not using this could result in duplicates).
- For other email clients which you have configured via policy, the settings are found in Device Policy > ActiveSync - they depend on the device type and mail client.
If you haven't configured mail via policy then the app distribution settings may control this, check your app distribution settings.
Given you may not have configured this to date, the possibility of duplicates is something that may require manual adjustment - given that policy settings will only apply going forward.

Subject: iOS Contact Duplication - Contacts duplicated in Exchange
Hi Everyone,
I have a user (using 2 iOS devices) that has experienced the contact duplication issue.
As far as I understand it, when this occurs, normally you only see the duplication in the native contacts.
For this user, however, the duplication has occurred in Exchange. This then pulls all the way through to the user's native contacts.
Is there any way this can be caused by MaaS360 (so that I know how to avoid it in future), and is there a way to fix this that doesn't involve manually removing 600+ contacts from the user's Exchange Contacts?
I'm a bit stumped here.
Many thanks.
