    Has anyone had any luck using Open Source projects iODBC or unixODBC to connect to a database and set up a data source through the Cognos interface?  We've tried connecting to a database with unixODBC (from AIX toolbox) and it works great from the command line but not from Cognos.  We also tried building libiodbc from source because we couldn't find a compiled version.  Having no luck with it either.  If anyone has any tips on getting libiodbc installed and working properly on AIX or getting either driver manager working properly with Cognos, please share them.  Would be very interested to hear if anyone else is using either of these driver managers on AIX and what you had to do to get them installed and working properly.  Thanks.

    Some information I got for Cognos....

    The query engine in Cognos Analytics (CQM), which works with ODBC driver managers requires the iODBC driver manager on UNIX systems.
    Please make sure if the expected 32-bit libraries are visible in the UNIX library path for the query engine.
    Also confirm if the iODBC configuration files seem to be set up.

    If this does not help then please open a support case with Cognos.
