N2i - New to IBM i

COMMON’s N2i committee is on a mission to help new IBM i professionals navigate their way through learning and optimizing the platform. By providing advocacy, community, and education during their formative years, N2i’s goal is to support COMMON and the IBM i community, build skills and confidence, and fuel fresh careers.

Please use this thread to introduce yourself if you'd like!  I'll start:

I'm Steve Riedmueller and I lead COMMON's N2i committee.  I've been working on the IBM i since 2001 as a System/Security Admin.  I joined the N2i committee to give back to the community by helping others learn about these systems that I love.  I've worked with many IBM and third-party products on this platform.  These days I head up Security Services at Kisco Systems.  I'm glad to help answer questions about system administration, security, SQL, and any other areas where I'm knowledgeable.

I'm Anna Niederschulte and I am a IBM I Systems Engineer for Huber & Associates. I started my IBM I journey in 2022 and am enjoying it! I am happy to help and answer questions as I am able to with my limited knowledge. I am currently focusing on learning all there is to know about IBM I security and system administration. I enjoy sharing my perspective on IBM I and showing that it is a wonderful platform!

    Hi N2i πŸ‘‹

I am not new to the IBM i platform, but I fully support what this group is doing here on TechXchange and would like to contribute wherever I can.

A bit about me. I have worked on the platform in various roles, from Operations through Programming and now in Administration, with a dash of Integration / Architect. I have also recently started focusing on securing IBM i systems for my current client.

I will be signing up as a mentor in the N2i program and look forward to helping new talent explore and grow on this amazing platform.

Great to see everyone here πŸ‘€
