I was able to change most of the backgrounds, tabs etc to something more standard. I assume theres no way to fix the icons so they are more user friendly. Is there some way of changing the background to the Type Designer properties Window back to white or clear?

I'd prefer additional capability for user configurability as I find the icons very difficuly to see at high resolution.

You can change some of the backgrounds/panels as well as some of the card colors in Map Designer. Others look like they are fixed. Don't see an option to make the icons more readable/user friendly.

I understand the monotone colors as colors dont matter if you are colorblind. Im not sure I like the new icons used for items, groups, categories, choice groups etc. I know Im really going to miss the blue, green and red. About the only change I see that makes sense is the symbol for a partitioned group.

The new shapes and color schemes seem vague and unclear. In some regards its going to be like relearning the whole tool all over. Dont see myself flying thru things like I can today.

Seriously though, I'm really having a hard time differentiating between the icons/symbols. I even put on my reading glasses.

What other stuff? I can't really describe it .. it's just all so much more cohesive now ... smoother ... easier.
