  • 1.  Integration server overview - ACE CP4I

    Posted Fri January 19, 2024 08:35 AM

Question regarding changes to the ACE CP4I OCP Operator and the dashboard that is created to see your servers/runtimes in the CP4I installation.

In the older version [operator version 8.0.0; ace integration server version 12.0.7.0.5-r5] I was able too see a complete overview/list of all my integration servers that were deployed in the particular namespace. Picture below:

However, on the new version [operator 10.0.1, server 12.0.9.0-r3-lts], I do not see that same overview, and there are new/different names being used [runtime vs server]. Is there a config that was changed or option that needs to be enabled for this to be available? [servers are deployed and are running normally]

    new version:

I ask as this was the primary interface we used to easily toggle user tracing on a particular server. How can this be done on the new version [I found this resource, https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/collecting-service-level-trace-ace-integration-server, but it is much more complex compared to the old way].

update: it seems the new version did indeed change some value meanings, that is, now there is a explicit value to be set for this to be visible.

    Old:

    spec:

      displayMode: info

    New:

    spec:

      displayMode: IntegrationServers

    Hi Vid,

You are correct that in more recent releases we have changed the default mode that the ACE Dashboard runs with. Moving forward "IntegrationRuntimes" will be the standard mode and all templates will be set to default to creating this style of dashboard. We recommend customers consider moving up to IntegrationRuntimes as they are where all the development is now being done (further info in https://community.ibm.com/community/user/integration/blogs/rob-convery1/2023/03/15/what-is-an-integrationruntime)

If you have an existing dashboard which is migrated to a later version it should continue to operator in the same mode as before

(This is not applicable to the LTS release which does not support IntegrationRuntimes)
