We're currently using WTX8.3 along with the FIX pack to generate FIX messages out of a financial application, but realised that sending messages out to the FIX network requires additional administrative messages to be exchanged to logon to the network and to manage the FIX session.

Most of the FIX engines that I've found on the web are C++ or Java APIs that are built into other applications.

I'm interested to hear from anybody who's managed to integrate WTX maps with a standalone FIX messaging engine that is able to accept FIX formatted trade messages, and let the engine deal with the administrative side of the connectivity and session management.
