    Hello,

    Does anyone have experience integrating IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog (IGC) with Cognos Analytics? If so, could you share your experience and if you have any best practices that you could share?

    Here is what we have (on-prem)
    • Cognos Analytics 11.1.1
    • IBM InfoSphere Information Server Version 11.7.0.2‬
    • Oracle 12C

    The integration is all about exposing the IGC Business Glossary and Lineage in Cognos.

    These can be in invoked in Cognos from reports built on packages only.

    There are videos on youtube showing what it's like.

    Thanks @Jason Tavoularis. I did see the links above. YouTube does have few videos of the product in action but not for what I am looking for (I am looking for either videos or steps of how its implemented/configured/synced between IGC & Cognos).

    There is package provided by IBM that can be used to build reports. However, you can do below to use Analytics features:- 

    • Map labels to Package queries to see where particular data/labels are flowing. 
    • Clean and prepare data in Cognos using Dataset and Data Module
    • Store data in Cognos Analytics for Exploratory analysis as well as Advanced Reporting
