What user should I use to connect to in order to checkout the code in Jenkins? I’ve seen RTC users doing personal and non-personal builds. If I’m requesting a personal build, what user should I use in Jenkins to checkout the code from a private workspace? Or, is there any configuration I should have on the project area and a specific user for building? If so, what specific permissions should it have?

Hi Ramos,

depends how much of your settings are in RTC or in Jenkins.
in RTC you can have:
a background user, like "build" doing the build process,
a seperate "build" workspace collecting the the date from the stream
on a persona build, you use the date from the developer workspace
possible you use RTC to select and dliver the date for the build and use Jenkins for the steps in the build
this would mean you can stay with on Jenkins settings.

If you are integrating RTC with Jenkins and want to have version/change set and work item traceability from Jenkins builds back into RTC artifacts.  The latest RTC / Jenkins integration is found here on the Jenkins site.  It will work with almost any RTC release 5.x or 6.x.  We release it asynchornously from RTC releases so you can get more frequent improvements and use it on many versions of RTC.  You can see that we have more than 1,000 installations of the Team Concert Plug-in for Jenkins, so it has heavy usage in our installed base.
