I have a question related to IBM RPA: Is it necessary to install the IBM RPA server and client on separate machines, or can I install only the client to develop robots without directly using the server, and instead use the Control Center to manage the robots?

IBM RPA needs both Server and Client with visibility between them. This can be in separate or in the same machine, just keeping in mind that the Server side needs to be installed in a Windows Server machine, if you are talking about Windows On Premises platform.
For OCP and SaaS, Server is on OpenShift or Cloud, respectively. In this case, you only need the Client instance installed on a Windows machine (can be W11, for instance). But you still need it to be connected to the Server.
Once published the Scripts, you can access the Control Center from anywhere to manage your environment.
