    The boot from CD process hangs while it tries to configure the USB DVD drive in the media module.

    I opened a ticket with AIX support and they say the problem I am having was supposed to be fixed in AIX 7 before the first SP. I am using the latest shipped media (contains TL1 dated October 2011)and the latest downloadable media (same TL and release date. On top of all this is some disagreement inside IBM about weather or not POWER7 blades support AIX 7, econfig and the software team says it is supported, the hardware team says AIX 7 is not supported on any blades other then JS series but they do not know how old the document they have stating this is.

    Anyone seen this or have a work-around?
