  • 1.  Install Samba and share using mapped users

    I have installed Samba version 4.12.10-1.  I have the following installed:
    root@nim714 /opt/freeware/bin >lslpp -La|grep samba
    samba 4.12.10-1 C R Server and Client software to
    samba-client 4.12.10-1 C R Samba client programs
    samba-common 4.12.10-1 C R Files used by both Samba
    samba-devel 4.12.10-1 C R Developer tools for Samba
    samba-libs 4.12.10-1 C R Samba libraries (/bin/rpm)
    samba-python3 4.12.10-1 C R Samba Python3 libraries
    samba-winbind 4.12.10-1 C R Samba winbind (/bin/rpm)
    samba-winbind-clients 4.12.10-1 C R Samba winbind clients

    How do I go about configuring Samba? I need to map local users to AD user account and allow specific users to access share without having to enter the password.

    The configuration will be same as on other platform. I would suggest to find some documentation on internet. 
    If you find any particular issue with AIX please post here.
