     Informix version 15.0.0.2 is out!

    Looks like the only change is adding support for "AlmaLinux release 8.10 (Cerulean Leopard) on aarch64 compatible processors (ARMv8)".

    Will there be IBM packages soon for Linux ARM?

    I could find HCL branded packages.

    Just installed

    hcl.csdk.15.0.0.2.Linux.64.aarch64.tar

    On two Linux ARM machines:

    $ uname -a
    Linux ... 5.14.0-284.30.1.el9_2.aarch64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Fri Aug 25 10:57:12 EDT 2023 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux


    $ uname -a
    Linux ... 6.1.31-v8.1.el8.altarch #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Jun 10 22:16:25 UTC 2023 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux

    But I get this error:

    $ dbaccess - -
    Unknown error message 36206.

    I see no errors in the install logs.

    Env settings should be fine:

    Hi Seb,

    it's a known problem and being worked on.

    Take it as a sign of the product really being worked on, also in terms of code clean-up, only testing apparently having some (glaring) gaps still... (yes, it is a bit embarrassing).

    Let's hope for a new release soon!

    Thanks a lot for being honest, saves time.

    If you want us to test packages before you release, we would be pleased to help.

    Already tested 15.0.0.2 server and CSDK on my Linux Debian 12, no issue found in our QA tests.

    Will test Windows ASAP.

    I have now downloaded the IBM brands of server and CSDK for aarch64:

    ibm.csdk.15.0.0.2.Linux.64.aarch64.tar

    Should I wait for 15.0.0.3 ?

    Not fixed yet, sorry.

    But there's a workaround mentioned (in case it's applicable to your situation):

    Copy $INFORMIXDIR/msg/en_us/0333/xopen.iem from any convenient server into the corresponding directory in the CSDK-only $INFORMIXDIR.

    If this is a Windows machine, you might want to look for $INFORMIXDIR/msg/en_us/04e4/xopen.iem and copy that too.

    As mentioned I want to install 15 on Linux ARM.

    Since we need it to make our port for Genero V6 on Linux ARM.

    As software dev tool vendor, it's a perfectly acceptable WA: we are not in production.
