  • 1.  Informix 14 and AIX 7.3

    Hi all
    customer wants to buy new HW (P10) and they want AIX 7.3 - but according to Informix Server System Requirements (Informix Server System Requirements) this is not supported combination.
    I know it is working but customer wants IBM to state that. Whom do I have to contact?

    For aix 7.3 other database is certified, even O database is certified - I'm expecting even SQL Server will be certified before Informix.
    And AIX 7.3 is almost 1 year old,

    Hi
    as I wrote little bit earlier - no answer month after asking about Informix Server System Requirements
    Their other database is, of course, certified on AIX 7.3
    14.10.FC8 is working on AIX 7.3 in test environment with no issues - but customer wants this giant step from IBM

    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/informix-server-system-requirements#aix Now posted for AIX 7.3 and 14.10.FC9. There will be another update to this page in Q1 early for Ubuntu. Some engineering has to occur first.

    So, a month after sending mail - nothing.
    Supported platforms:

    AIX - 7.2 + Informix 14.10.FC8 - there's FC9 and there's AIX 7.3 (older than 1 year)

    Ubuntu 20.04 + 14.10.FC8 - 20.04 is 2 years old, there's new LTS version 22.04

    Fedora 13 + 12.10
    etc
