  • 1.  Indexing Word XP documents with Russian chars

    Posted Wed June 11, 2003 04:33 PM

    Hello!

    I have a problem when indexing Word documents with Russian characters. It only occurs for documents saved with Office XP.

    Tamino response is:

    - <ino:message ino:returnvalue=“8711”>
    <ino:messagetext ino:code=“INOXPE8711”>Document not well-formed</ino:messagetext>
    ino:messagelineLine 1, Column 4563: Got an unexpected trailing surrogate character</ino:messageline>
    </ino:message>

    I’ve attached such a document.

    Best regards,
    Alexander

    Hi,

    I am experiencing the same problem inserting/updating a document (XP) without Russion characters. The weird thing is that when I open the document in Word and try to insert the document, it works fine. When I close Word, and try to insert the document again, this exception occurs:

    Dear Tamino/AgSoft.

    I sometimes get this and similar errors, when calleing accessor.insert().

    I can see that this thread is VERY old, by todays standards. Why isnt it resolved yet?

    Has the issue been resolved?

    Best Regards
    Stefan Krabbe
