    Hi Amit, no you don't.

You only need to implement Managed ACBs prior to implementing IMS V15.6.

V15.5 and V15.4 are still supported releases without end of support dates yet.

    Hi Amit,

I didn't see a way to reply to your message.  I hope this works....

"Sorry just another query, if by chance the decommission would extend from 1yr to 2 or more years and we have excluded PTF's to avoid managed ACB's , what would happen to the next maintenance.  "

My understanding is that you can exclude the IMS V15.6 PTFs but continue to apply maintenance.  Just make sure you keep excluding them. That being said, I am sure a lot of the new maintenance will have the V15.6 PTFs are prerequisites.  It will be interesting to see how much maintenance we can actually apply.

    Thanks, John

    Hi Amit,

You will need to exclude the IMS V15.6 PTFs UO02686, UO02687, UO02688, UO02689, UO02690 and UO02693 on your apply.

         EXCLUDE (UO02686
                            UO02687
                            UO02688
                            UO02689
                            UO02690
                            UO02693)

Otherwise, IMS managed ACBs are required and IMS will not start up without it.

    Thanks, John
