  • 1.  Import Data to Cube

    Posted 04/01/19 03:50 PM
I have a cube created, I can manually enter data into individual cells in the cube and it rolls up appropriately based on my dimesion settings. However, when I attempt to import data from my csv file by dropping the file onto the cube in the data tree, the data is read, no errors are flagged but the data does not get written into my cube. Any suggestions as to where I have gone wrong are greatly appreciated

    Hi Kevin,

I have a few questions to help us understand this issue.

1 - Is Workspace on IBM Cloud or local?
2 - If local, what Workspace version is being used?
3 - I'm assuming you are modeler or administrator in Workspace, and admin in the TM1 database?
4 - There is a directory inside of the TM1 database directory where the file is copied into when it's dragged on top of the cube.  I think this directory is named something like model_upload by default.  Can you check this directory to determine if your flat file is present?  I think the flat file is renamed with a UID (check the file timestamps in this directory to see if it matches when you did the drag and drop).

    Hi Kevin!

This can appear to happen when you've successfully imported data, but the arrangement of the view doesn't match the data you've imported.  Can you share a picture of the view you've dragged a file on top of, and a few of the records in your file?
