  • 1.  ILMT is not matching the hosts to the vm's

    See attached screenshots. I have a customer who created 12 Windows hyper v vm's by copying Windows Server 2012 R2 disk images to 12 vm's without using sysprep. They are utilized as Hyper V vm's hosting IBM SW VM's.

    VM Managers showing Duplicate UUID's

    ILMT is saying that they all have duplicate UUID's (which is true).

    Since they are all Prodcution VM's with thousands of users they cannot use the "disconnect hard drive and reconnect" method of changing the UUID's. The question is, is there method to fool ILMT into thinking they are seperate UUID's? If so, how can that be done?

    Hello Vance,

    There is no workaround...
    License Metric Tool requires unique virtual machine UUID numbers to properly calculate the capacity for all virtual machines.
