  • 1.  ILMT for virtual appliances API Connect and Datapower Gateway on vmware

    Hi all 

    Im currently investigating/struggeling how to get virtual appliances API Connect on vmware and Datapower Gateway on vmware to report to ILMT.

    I found some old information related to API Connect 5.x not supported system for ILMT. But is this the case on newer versions?

    For Datapower Gateway I found some information related to creating ilmt packages and importing them into ILMT. 

    Is API Connect on newer versions supported for ILMT? Not able to find any information related to this and how to do it.

    Hi Tommy,

    IBM Data Power Gateway virtual appliance embeds the ILMT Disconnected Scanner and provides an option to manage the scan and generation of the ILMT disconnected scanner out packages within the IBM Data Power gateway file system within a predefined directory.
    These packages must be exported from the IBM Data Power and placed within an ILMT disconnected Data Source to then allow ILMT to import and process.
    An ILMT Virtual Manager connection is also required for the VMWare where the IBM DataPower Gateway is deployed.

    This implementation is available from IBM DataPower Gateway version/releases 2018.4 or later.

    Hi Antonio, Andrei,

    If I understand well datapower is like a DisconnectedScanner. How can I configure a automated transfer of analyse files from the datapower into the ILMT server "disconnected sources" folder ?

    this feature is available in DisconnectedScanner via a curl command to the ILMT host, is there any way to set it up inside the datapower ? it will simplify the license management of these appliances.
