    Hi All,

    Please suggest.

    I want to rotate IHS log files by size and time. My environment log file size is increasing.  I want to create new log  file every 15 days.  Please suggest.


    How we can create new log files by size or time.

      For time (in seconds)

           CustomLog "|bin/rotatelogs /var/logs/logfile 1296000" common
     
      For size

           CustomLog "|bin/rotatelogs /var/logs/logfile 5M" common

    We are using a earler version of HTTP Server and got triped up beacuase we did not use the absolute path. Just in case your still working on this 

    "Prior to IBM HTTP Server 7.0, the absolute path must be used to specify the location on the rotatelogs executable and also the location of the logfile.


    Example for Microsoft Windows:
    CustomLog "|D:/IBM/HTTPServer/bin/rotatelogs.exe -l D:/IBM/HTTPServer/logs/access%Y_%m_%d_%H_%M_%S.log 3600" common"
