ifconfig display question

    When i run the ifconfig command, it is displayed as an attachment.

    Why do I see other interfaces that are not IP-enabled?

    It shows all the Available interfaces, regardless of link state, logical state, IPv4 or IPv6 address.

     

    It can be a surprise if you're comming from the Linux side.

     

    PS: It's been the default behavior for the last 30 years, so it 's very unlikely to change.
