Hi Friends,

I am suing the data link classic to load data to CT table and if any datalink fails with validation due to field name mismatch or other issue. not receiving the email. Where we can configure that to receive the email.

Go to the datalink and click on the gear icon > settings and then fill out the details under:

SMTP Server for E-mail Notifications

Then on the connector settings page, enter the comma separated list of email addresses in the To textbox. Make sure to check the box for success or failure notification.

You can always test the connector and it will send a test email.

Thank you, Sanjay. I see my Tennent admin's getting them now, but I didn't see them in the setting, and not configured there.

In some connectors I have had to uncheck the Validation box: for no apparent reason, the connector will fail it. Without it, everything works.

Still haven't figured out what's going on, only have this workaround...

@@Guillermo Cuadrado, I have experienced those also. I believe in some cases, even the attribute has a small change, it will give you that error. Also, in those cases, the table will still load and you just have to check in manually. I do wish Apptio has a way to 'overlook' that instead of throwing that error. Sometimes, the first row of data is blank and DL cannot decide whether it is numeric or label which will then prompt the error.​
