  • 1.  IBM SSO manual not working on 11.0.12.

I followed this tutorial with an automated script:
IBM Automate the configuration of Microsoft's Internet Information Service to support IBM Cognos Analytics - United States
    Ibm remove preview
IBM Automate the configuration of Microsoft's Internet Information Service to support IBM Cognos Analytics - United States
This tool automates the configuration steps based on the IBM Knowledge Center article - Configuring IIS with Cognos Analytics (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSEP7J_11.0.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.inst_cr_winux.doc/t_gateway_iis.html) and is provided "AS-IS"
    View this on Ibm >

the script wasn't working really well so I followed the manual procedure:
    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSEP7J_11.0.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.inst_cr_winux.doc/t_gateway_iis.html

but that procedures also don't work anymore on version 11.0.12.
    install_location\cgi-bin\cognosisapi.dll doesn't exists.

    is there an work around?

I have ICA 11.0.12 installed and the cognosisapi.dll is definitely there in the cgi-bin directory.

RESOLVED. for others facing the same issue in the future:

on initial install only, the installer does present a check box to install "optional gateway" if and only if "custom" install type was selected. once software is install subsequent installer run will skip over that section. it is not possible to add add the component later.  un-install then re-install was the only way i could figure out how to get around it.

i face the same issue. installed 11.0.12. no cognosasapi.dll in cgi-bin directory. one support article specifically said the reason was the "gateway" component was not installed. the install procedure for gateway component is in this link:

    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSEP7J_10.2.1/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.inst_cr_winux.10.2.1.doc/t_instgwwindows.html

however, i download the installation archive from support site (ca_server_win64_11.0.12.exe) instead of using a physical media as per the link above and   there was no option during the install to select "component" and i do no see a separate "gateway" download from support either.

any ideas? it shouldn't be this hard!
