I have a copy of "IBM® SPSS® Statistics Standard GradPack 26 for Mac" - my current OS os Catalina 10.15.6 - The licence on my software is still valid.

An error message is appearing when I attempt to run syntax "An unknown error has terminated communication with the processor. The SPSS Statistics Processor is unavailable". I was getting this message about once per day, however, now it occurs every time I attempt to run a syntax.

As my software is a gradpack I cannot delete and reinstall as my software as the license will not allow it.

I would really appreciate your help.

If you haven't installed the fixpack for V26, that would be the place to start. It addresses a number of problems caused by the Catalina update.

Hey there. Yes, we've already installed the fixpack. It did nothing to fix these problems that many of us are having with Catalina and SPSS 26. This is highly frustrating that now we cannot do ANYTHING on spss without this error and eventual crash of the software. Completley useless software.

I have the same problem, any solutions ?
