While the Sentinel RMS License Manager service/daemon is capable of changing its listening port, the IBM SPSS Statistics client application is hard-coded to use port 5093 UDP. This cannot be changed.
Workarounds:
- The easiest workaround will be to install the license manager for SPSS client products to a separate server and to point your clients to that server.
- Depending upon the version of Sentinel RMS License Manager required by your other application, you could consolidate the license file (lservrc) underlying the license manager so that it offers tokens for both products. This route is potentially possible, but not supported by IBM SPSS Technical Support staff.
IBM SPSS Statistics should always be deployed with the latest available Sentinel RMS License Manager and Tools from IBM.

Hi Team,
We have purchased 10 concurrent license for SPSS Statistics. During the server licence installation, we found that port 5093 is already used by Sentinel License Manager for SAP2000. So we change the port of "Sentinel License Manager for IBM SPSS" to 5099. Now License service is running and we can see SPSS license details on "Sentinel RMS Server Administration / WlmAdmin " program ( changed port to 5099 in Edit > Preferences).
But we facing issue in activating the license in "IBM SPSS Statistics licensing Wizard". It asking for IP address / server name, we gave localhost / server ip ( both license server and client machine running on the same machine). But it is not accepting. We tried ip_address:port_number & port_number@ip_address formats. Nothing is working.
Please help us to configure the SPSS Statistics to accept custom port license.
