  • 1.  IBM Professional Certification Site - Exam List

    Hello,

    According to the list in the IBM Professional Certification Site - Exam List website, there is only 2 certifications for :
    Unit=IBM Analytics
    Subunit=Cognos Analytics

    • IBM Cognos 10 Controller Developer
    • IBM Cognos 10 BI Multidimensional Author

    I'm ok for the second one, but the first one should be to Controler I guess...

    By the way, all formerly certifications seems withdraw. What is the current IBM policy about Cognos Analytics certification program ?

    Thanks for posting on the Community and letting us investigate your request!

    Analytics is moving away from certification and is focusing on skills validation be assessed through badging in the IBM Open Badge program. You can go to ibm.com/training (IBM Skills Gateway) and search for badges, which allows you to see what is available to validate your skills, as certification is not the only way to do that anymore. There are many Analytics badges available (designated with IBM Analytics Services on the badge), and badges offered by other teams (with slightly different branding on the badge). Another option to find what skills validation options are available for a particular area of product expertise, is to go to the Learning Journeys tab (on the Skills Gateway) and search for learning journeys to see associated training and skills validation by IBM product or platform.
     
    Regarding the Cognos Controller question; Analytics Education is planning to create badges in 2019, so we recommend that clients bookmark the IBM Skills Gateway and periodically visit the site to see as new offerings and skills validation release; we are planning for Q1 2019, but the date may be subject to change as priorities shift. Once the badges are published, they will be searchable as assets on the IBM Skills Gateway, and we recommend that you use this as a central resource to find IBM training and skills validation.

    Hello,

    If you search for Cognos from the site you listed I see "IBM Cognos Analytics Author V11" and "IBM Cognos Analytics Administrator V11". Forget the other filters, they seem to be limiting your results. 

    It may take a while for the marketplace to understand the badge system and certifications have been in place for many years so could still be very valuable.
