Dear Falko
I'm curious as to what those AIs have to say when you ask the same question about Power10 or Power11 processors?
>>>> Will this change customer decisions or the server market? <<<<
WW IT server market is large and I notice Power CPUs are not competitive enough in Cloud segment. As for on-premise market, I notice in my ASEAN geography that most customer's decisions on server purchase are more influenced by the main application vendors the customers buy from. For customers with in-house developed apps, the decisions are mostly influenced by the developer teams. The only cases that I see processor qualities play any indirect influence in purchase decision are for those customers who buy from bad application vendors which are not frequent. In summary of my experience, processor quality plays very little role in customer's purchase decisions, at least in my part of the world.

Subject: IBM Power or Intel CPU's in the server market
If you ask AIs about current issues with Intel CPUs, you get something like this:
"Current issues with Intel processors (as of October 2025)
Intel processors, especially the 13th and 14th generation desktop models (Raptor Lake), have been affected by significant stability issues since 2024. These issues have led to crashes, blue screens, and even permanent damage to the chips. Although Intel has released patches, users continue to report errors – especially on older systems. There are also new security vulnerabilities and general criticism of the performance of newer generations." (Source: Grok)
Some questions for the group:
Can IBM Power10 or Power11 processors perform better now?
Are customers' issues understood and questioned?
Will this change customer decisions or the server market?
