IBM Planning Analytics Workspace - Badges

    Dear all,

    Recently, I advised a colleague to obtain the badges I earned last year and which another colleague earned only 3 months ago. Those are IBM Planning Analytics Workspace v2.0.x Modeling with Dimensions and Cubes, IBM Planning Analytics Workspace v2.0.x Modeling with Rules and Feeders and IBM Planning Analytics Workspace v2.0.x Modeling with TurboIntegrator. However, we cannot find them on the IBM website now. We contacted IBM support and they told us that they are no longer available. Could you please provide me with more information - since when they are no longer available and have they been replaced by similar ones? Thank you in advance.

    Yes, the certification is available via several business partners who are providing the Planing Analytics courses.

    We don't know the details how the certifiacation or badges are offered.

    You may contact the partner to see if the certification could be scheduled with no course taken,

    Hello Svetlana, 

    I have been and still i am an IBM Planning Analytics developer and analyst for a while (since Applix 8.4 - Cognos TM1 10.0 till now: PAL 2.0.9) and want to get certifications and test my knowlegde.

    The previous certification site is used earlyer is no longer availabe (https://learn.ibm.com/files/analytics/DAELL/DAELL-Badge-Program/planning_analytics/index.html) and what is can reach (for example https://www.ibm.com/training/badge/ibm-planning-analytics-v2-0-x-administration) shows no further info.

    Do I understand right that without taking a paid course it is not possible to get certified for IBM Planning Analytics?

    That is the situation right now - no paid certification tests are available at IBM for Planning Analytics. I'm trying to work out the certification process to start it over again as we realized that it'd be a beneficial approach for the professionals and the product. My task is to figure out the average statistics on professionals willing to take the paid certification test. I'll continue to post to this thread any updates regarding Planning Analytics certification process.

    Hi Gábor,

    Yes, the badges are tight to the courses, the only way to get the badges right now is to take the courses. 

    The certification is a different process that would be a paid exam to prove the deep knowledge of the product (not tight up to the courses with the badges).

    The Planning Analytics/TM1 certification is not available at the moment.

    Hi Everyone,

    It looks like the updated badges are available but require a training subscription as Svetlana had mentioned. I have a few Early in Career engineers we're putting thru the online training subscription, and they have access to take the updated certification exams which you can find on credly.com (formerly acclaim) if you search for IBM Planning Analytics.

    Just to be clear - these are the badges associated with the product course materials. Certification exams on our product are not available recently, we're in need to provide the approximate number of people interested to take the paid Planning Analytics exams.

    To clarify, @Svetlana Pestsova it appears the badges are actually only available with the instructor led training courses and not with the paid self paced training options provided via IBM.  Is there any way those can be added to the courses as well?

    Unfortunately the Planning Analytics self paced courses have no badges assossiated with them, only those courses that are instructor led would have the badges. I'm trying to request the badges for the self paced courses but the process to get the badges is not sppeedy and may take a long time.
