  • 1.  IBM MQ 9.4.2.0 CAB Files Flagged by VirusTotal – False Positive?

    Hi everyone,

    I recently downloaded IBM MQ Advanced for Developers (Windows) version 9.4.2.0 from IBM's official site using this link:

    Download link:
    https://public.dhe.ibm.com/ibmdl/export/pub/software/websphere/messaging/mqadv/9.4.2.0-IBM-MQ-Advanced-for-Developers-Win64.zip

    After extracting the installer, I scanned the files using VirusTotal and noticed that two CAB files were flagged by some antivirus engines:

    Has anyone else run into this? Is this a known false positive?
    Would really appreciate it if someone from IBM or the community could clarify or suggest a workaround if needed.

    Not necessarily. It might just flag a vulnerability. You should be using MQ version 9.4.2.1
