Well, it's been a saga, but Informix Virtual Appliance is still available on
www.-01.ibm.com. It was a real pain getting Download Director/Java/JRE and finally Informix 12.10 Developer Edition SLES 11 virtual appliance demo (64 bit) VMWare Workstation (tgz) all happy and working on my MacOS, but I did. However, OAT (an older version) runs on an older Firefox which looks for Shockwave (which has been deprecated) and Firefox is not easily upgraded for some reason. IBM Data Studio does work beautifully, however, which is a component that isn't so reliant on such older application plug-ins. During the download, I believe Download Director didnt work as well as downloading the tar balls directly, then finding them through VMWare Fusion, then opening the appliance, and away I went. Truth to say, it probably would've been easier just to install an easy Ubuntu version then Informix DE, but I feel this was a good exercise, nonetheless. I'd love to be able to get OAT upgraded and working, but somehow it's difficult. In the meantime, I'm working through all the demo's and scripts and feel that excitement of working with Informix again!

Docker Hub seems to only have the stand-alone IDS versions. Where can I find the actual VA's for Informix, I just bought VMWare Fusion which is supposed to run it, as explained here. (see link, also is iterated here: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSGU8G_12.1.0/com.ibm.virtapp.doc/topicA.htm )
