Hello,
Has anyone ever connected to IBM Information Exchange via
TN’s VAN Connection module?

We process EDI in IS4.6 / TN 4.6 and use IBM IE, but from
what I could determine, TN can’t connect to IBM IE because
TN doesn’t support the secure FTP required by IBM IE. You
are probably already familiar with the IBM IE web page
describing their FTP requirements:
https://pki.services.ibm.com/ieftp/webdocs.shtml

We have chosen to use the LexiCom FTP client from Cleo to
talk to IBM IE. We pass data between TN and LexiCom via flat
files. This is far from an ideal solution but it does work.

We opted to talk to them using EDIINT. We send http and
AS2. We have successfully got it working but are not in
production yet. webMethods is certified for this with
Advantis.
