    Abstract:
    IBM Db2® Analytics Accelerator V7.1 is a newly designed product rather than a major upgrade. It runs on different, more powerful hardware, which allows unprecedented acceleration rates.

    In this webcast, we discuss the IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator V7.1 on IBM Z® from a technical and use case perspective. Besides the new architecture and the new Db2 Warehouse engine, special focus is on the new deployment option on IBM Z®, which creates opportunities to implement new use cases.

    We address IBM Z® hardware considerations, the deployment option using a Secure Service Container (SSC) LPAR, installation and configuration aspects, performance considerations, and first sizing recommendations (number of IFLs, memory, storage). This webcast highlights innovative improvements, such as True-HTAP, which enables the implementation of additional use cases to increase analytics capabilities for users.
