  • 1.  IBM Datapower Services Migration to IBM App Connect Enterprise

    Posted 8 days ago

We are working on a requirement to migrate the Datapower services to App connect.

Currently we are doing transformation using XSLT and gateway scripts and these need to be migrated to App connect. I understand that this is going to be redevelopment, but wanted to check if there any best practices or references for this solution?

    Hi,

    just briefly from a semi-retired SME ...

The XSLTs should be okay to run in the XSLTransform node.

whereby you could hopefully run it mostly unchanged (?) In a Java Compute node.

My preference would be to transform the logic to ESQL.

The services would have to be re-invented as message flows, and I have not heard of any helping tools there.

There probably won't be any one-to-one relationship between the policies and the resulting message flows ... unless you want to complicate matters by putting all activities into one flow per direction.

It could be a fun project, though. And - depending on whether it has been done before - it might be a great presentation at a conference or at least an article on one of IBM's  forums.
