  • 1.  IBM Cloud Feature Code Error – "Something went wrong"

    Title:
IBM Cloud Feature Code Error – "Something went wrong"

    Message:
    Hello everyone,

I am taking the Coursera course "Building AI Powered Chatbots Without Programming".

When I try to activate my IBM Cloud trial account using the provided feature code, I receive the error:

"Something went wrong. Try again later."

    I already tried:

    • New IBM Cloud account

    • Different email address

    • Incognito mode

    • Different browser

IBM Support told me the account is pending verification, and Coursera Support asked me to continue with IBM support/community.

    Feature code ending in:
    ...97f7

Has anyone recently solved this issue or found a workaround?

    Thank you.

I am also having the same problem. I've also tried a number of different options to register, and my error code ends with ...5104e

I, too, have been having the same problem. Has yours been fixed yet? Error code ends with ...d935a. Feature Code ends with ...b164e

    Hi Abdisamad (and Mithra, Prosper),

This isn't something you can fix by changing email/browser/incognito - you've
already ruled out the client side, and several of you hitting it at once, plus
IBM Support saying the account is "pending verification," points to an IBM-side
account-verification issue, not a bad feature code.

    What will actually move it:

    1. It's IBM account verification, not the code. The feature code can't apply
until your IBM Cloud account clears IBM's verification step. Keep the IBM
Support case open and ask them specifically to expedite/clear the account
verification (reference the exact error code shown, e.g. ...d935a).

    2. Confirm the account is a TRIAL, not Pay-As-You-Go. If a credit card was
added, the account upgrades to PAYG, and educational/Coursera feature codes
can't be applied to PAYG accounts - you'd need a fresh trial (no card).

    3. Point IBM at the cluster. Tell Support this is affecting multiple Coursera
learners right now, not just one account - that reframes it from "my code is
bad" to "your verification flow is failing for this cohort," which is the
       right escalation.

    4. Use IBM's Coursera-learner help path ("How to get help with account
questions as a Coursera learner using IBM Cloud"). Coursera can't fix an IBM
account-verification problem, which is why they sent you back.

Short version: stop spinning up new accounts/emails - keep one clean trial
account and push IBM Support to clear the verification, citing the multi-learner
    cluster.
