    Hi! Thanks for answering! I am publishing a research paper and would like to cite spss, I have done some analysis on the trial version. Is the citation same as for any licensed version of spss (IBM Corp. Released 2020. IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows, Version 27.0. Armonk, NY: IBM Corp) or should I mention that this is a trial?

    Here's the copyright permission page. That should help you for your citing:

    And more:

    Please provide as much supporting information as possible, including:

    • Documents or web links relating to the IBM material you are requesting permission to use [IBM Source]
    • The proposed text that would accompany the IBM material if permission is granted;

    You will have the ability to include up to three attachments on the web form. Upon receipt, we will forward it to the appropriate IBM organization for review and advise you of their response as soon as it is received.

    Thanks! But I don't think you understand the question. It is a common practice to cite the software you have used for analyses when publishing. It is not a copyright issue. May be someone with research publication experience can answer.
