I have 30 days left on my SPSS Statistics subscription (I just started), but when I open the desktop app and log-in, it states that I've already used trial and must re-subscribe. Why is this?

    The message reads as follows:

    "Sorry, you have already used an IBM SPSS Statistics Subscription trial on this machine. To use IBM SPSS Statistics Subscription, you will have to purchase a copy. Please visit the IBM Marketplace to review purchasing options"

    I checked your e-mail address on trial database.

     

    Your trial is activated for this ID and would last until 4. April 2021     

    And you installed on a Windows 10 machine with this ID: GUID:da1fb3f6-8171-426b-9f77-029f555b5253

     

    However, on this same computer with ID GUID:da1fb3f6-8171-426b-9f77-029f555b5253 the trial was activated by another user on 31. August 2020.

     

    The user who already use the trial on this machine is (anonymized mail):  rmartxxxxxxxxxSupport Member

    the ID was:

     

    crn:v1:bluemix:public:aspservice-service:global:a/6ab227b8c8f445e2b36e8e1238d44888:56a0994d-a8a6-412f-8e8c-5532c302b162::

     

    So the message you get is correct. The trial was used already on this machine and is expired on this computer.

     

    I am sorry but the trial can only be used for one user on one same computer and not for another user on the same machine within 365 days.

     

    You need to use a computer where the trial was not activated before, or purchase Subscription on a monthly basis.

     

    If you are a student, you can also ask your University if they have the code based IBM SPSS Statistics product package for you.
