That could be the problem with the hostname you have given.replace the hostname with localhost and see(Ex: java.rmi.localhost).if it doesnot work set the trace in management console and see the error

There is a gud chance .msl(launcher file) file which the management console will be looking for is not available in the deployment directory(which u have kept it as default).
