  • 1.  httpd install in AIX 6.1

    Want to httpd in AIX 6.1

    AIX Toolbox for open source site had httpd 2.4.59 version

    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/aix-toolbox-open-source-software-downloads-alpha#O

    After I download it, file name is "httpd-2.4.59-1.aix7.1.ppc.rpm"

    Can this file be installed in AIX 6.1 ?

    AIX 6.1 went out of support long time ago and we have been building packages in AIX 7.1 for quite some time now. httpd-2.4.59-1.aix7.1.ppc.rpm is meant for AIX 7.1 and above . You can use the --ignoreos option to install it in AIX 6.1 but it may not work because of the missing libc APIs in 6.1. So, the best option would be to use the SRPM and build it in 6.1.
