HP-UX Itanium kernel recommendations

    Hi,
    We are building up new HP-UX Itanium servers for IS 6.5 and in clustered environment. Can anyone provide kernal recommendation for performance and scalability. Are we safe to go with default kernal settings?

    We are currently running on IS 6.5 on HP Itanium 64.

    So far so good.

    We had in the past on PA_RISC some issues related to max_thread_proc kernel parameter. We increased the value to 2048.

    We kept the same value when upgrading to HP Itanium 64.

    Hence i’d recommend to check this value on your HP Itanim 64.
