    Hello  Meloudy,
    The MQ license is just an administrative concept, there is no serial number or anything like that.
    You just have to make sure that you have paid the same number of PVUs as the one installed.
    After installing MQ on the new server and transferring the configuration, just remove the MQ software from the first server.
    If the ILMT tool (which counts the installed software) is installed in your organization, you must also make sure that the old server is no longer registered in the ILMT MQ inventory.

    And don't forget your before and after snapshots on License Metric. Before installation on the new server and after decommissioning / removal of MQ on the old server. And there is at least one day lag before it show up in ILMT...

    You might also ask you sales representative for a specific entitlement for a couple of month duration that would allow you to install a new MQ Server along side your old one for the time of the migration.

    If I read this correctly - the entitlement is automatic. (depending on how long you need).

    Case 3: License Entitlements for a product are replaced by license entitlements for a replacement product and customer does not have the option to use the withdrawn product.

    Solution: In such case customer is granted a temporary period of dual use (usually up to 90 days) to make the transition from the old product to replacement. During that period, product license entitlements for both products will be reported by ILMT. It is recommended that you put a comment in the PVU report pointing out the fact of the migration and the products being transitioned from and to.
