    Prior versions of SPSS allowed for export to .csv and provided advanced saving options in the save dialogue box to allow for Encoding options and ability to select to "write variable names to spreadsheet". These saving options are no longer provided in the dialogue box. Can you provide steps for saving to .csv with uni encoding and ability to exclude variable names from transfer?

    You didn't say, but I am guessing that you are on a Mac. With V27, Statistics uses the native Mac file dialog boxes by default, and they don't provide these options. But go to Edit > Options and you will be able to change your preferences to use the Statistics-specific dialog boxes as before.

    I'm having this same problem with SPSS 29 for Windows. I don't see any statistics-specific dialog boxes under Edit > Options > General. Was this a bug that I need to run a fix for? Please advise!

    I figured it out! I did need to install the SPSSClientUI.jar fix that is available on the IBM site. With windows I did not need to delete the old renamed .orig file (in fact when I did, then SPSS wouldn't boot).
