    Would you tell me the mechanism to scan USS program by IBM Z Software Asset Management (IZSAM)?
    Which type of USS files IZSAM detect as the program?

    Hello Takako,

    The UNIX file system is scanned by the UNIX Inquisitor component (PGM=HSIXINQ) which looks for files of interest. Generally speaking, recorded files include:

    • program objects
    • Java Archive Resource (.jar) files
    • Web Archive Resource (.war) files
    • javascript (.js) files
    • shell script (.sh) files.
