You haven't mentioned if you are using BigFix agent or disconnected scanner for discovery.
Anyhow there are many potential links in the whole discovery chain which can break...ILMT reports are right at the end.
Please open up the support ticket to us as we will not solve this without exchanging different logs & traces.
This forum should be used for simple issues that don't require troubleshooting...

However, we did a scan of the hosts with STAPs but they are not being discovered by the ILMT.
Is there something else like a configuration where the ILMT details are specified for the STAP to discover?

ILMT 'agent' needs to be install on the server where S-TAP agent is installed.
I've also used the term 'agent' but as a matter of fact in case of License Metric Tool 9.x the software discovery is done by means of scanner.
The scanner is an independent component that is used by License Metric Tool. It is installed and managed through the BigFix client (or disconnected scanner).
In case of 'IBM Security Guardium Standard Activity Monitor for Databases' software component discovery is done by means of .swidtag file.
Please confirm the related .swidtag file (IBM_Security_Guardium_Standard_Activity_Monitor_for_Databases-xxx.swidtag) is present on the server where S-TAP agent is installed.
That file is a signature that will be detected and analyzed when BigFix agent (or disconnected scanner) scans the server.
There is no direct TCP port which needs to be opened between the ILMT server and Guardium appliance as such communication doesn't exist.

We have the ILMT tool and IBM Security Guardium Standard Activity Monitor for Databases deployed in our environment, however I do not see the license inventory for the Guardium Standard Activity Monitor for Databases on ILMT.
I have the following questions:
- Do we need to install ILMT agent on the Guardium appliances (Linux) or the STAP hosts?
- Are there any configurations that need to be done on the ILMT to get the license information? Like any specific port that needs to be permitted between the ILMT server and Guardium appliances or STAP hosts?
Can someone please guide me on this?
