How do we send MacOS Logs to QRadar?

The guide and scripts provided in the IBM docs only mention support for Mac OS X which is quite old at this point. Tried using this on newer versions of MacOS with no success and it sounds like this is the case across the community. Configuring syslog on your Apple Mac OS X

Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.
