  • 1.  How to change user password on TSM

    I wanted to know how to change any system user password which exist presently on tsm system.let me share the snapshot. I am new on TSM. I wanted to change the password of test user how i can change it i don't know the old password. But i have admin password.

    tsm: ITSM01>q user

    Hi,

    How i can rename the test user. if it's possible then how i can do it, another thing how i can create new user in tsm to run the schedule and basic activity. and if i want to give the admin permission to run all activity like moving data into tape and all then how i can provide the same. please tell me the syntax.

    Hi,

    Rename admin:  help rename admin

    Grant access: help grant authority

    You want to give access like grant auth <admin> cl=pol

    This will give all access except createing new domains and create/modify users

    Hi,

    You have to logon dsmadmc with the useraccount you want to run the task as.  Then define a scheduled admin task to run it.
