I am assembling global financial data and for our European offices the format is coming in with periods instead of commas for the thousand separator.  I therefore have numbers like $9.144.999.55  I need to transform the thousand separators from periods to commas, but I want to maintain the last (far right) period, so that it would show as $9,144,995.55.  Does anyone know the function that I would use in Apptio to do this?  Not sure if it matters but the data sometimes comes in with two integers after the far-right decimal, other times one integer, other times zero.  For example:

$9.144.995.55  (the 55 being two integers)   

$8.444.556.7   (the 7 being one integer)

$5.311.298       (there are zero integers after the far right decimal, hence it fell off and does not show)

Can you add a formula step for the incoming column and use the formula: =Currency($_,"#,###.#")

There's more info on Currency() here.  The $_ indicates 'this' or basically, the value you are currently working with.

I would recommend you upload the individual GLs in separate files. For each file can you define how Apptio is reading the number per location. My co-worker @Michael Moulsdale from the London office has written a good blog post about this specific thing. Numerics and Multiple Locales in a Project 

Once you have all the individual files uploaded and the numbers are read with correct thousand and decimal separator, can you merge them by appending them. Just like files are appended to the Cost Source Master Data.
