  • 1.  How to Change Config on AS400/OS400 I STAP for DB2

    Hello Seniors, Hope all is well. I am very new to AS400/OS400 platform where we are using iSTAP for DB2. however, we got the scenario where i have change the SQL Guard (collector IP) parameter to another one. OR how we can edit the other parameters on this plateform.
    also, we sometime need to restart the STAP on  AS400/OS400 platform, but, I am not sure how to do it. can someone please guide me with the list of commands for the same. thanks a lot.

    Hi @Akashkumar Parmar,

    There is a guardtap.ini, just like other platforms, that can be modified on the local system.

    It's recommended that you provision a user and create datasource connections to the ibm-i systems.  There are two custom tables (DB2 for i S-TAP Configuration, DB2 for i S-TAP Status) that you can populate that allow you to manage the stap from the Guardium appliance. Then there are reports named the same.  When you right click on the STAP from these reports it will invoke the api and allow you to manage/stop/start the staps.
