How to bundle 1 instance of IBM HTTP Server component to multiple IBM Websphere Application Server Network Deployment product instances?

  • 1.  How to bundle 1 instance of IBM HTTP Server component to multiple IBM Websphere Application Server Network Deployment product instances?

    Using the following scenario:

IBM WAS ND v8.5 product is included with IBM HTTP Server as a component.

Server "A" has IBM HTTP Server component installed.

Server "B" has IBM WAS ND component installed.

Server "C" has IBM WAS ND component installed.

So Server "B" and "C" with IBM WAS ND component installed are sharing a single IBM HTTP Server instance on Server "A".

Meaning that Server "A" with IBM HTTP Server running is serving both WAS ND servers B and C.

For software classification purpose, what is the best way to classify or bundle "IBM HTTP Server" component on Server "A" to "IBM Websphere Application Server Network Deployment" as a product which serving 2 IBM WAS ND servers?

I can only bundle a single IBM HTTP Server component to IBM WAS ND as a product as not charged. That can reference to Server "B".

Since there is only 1 IBM HTTP Server installed to serve 2 IBM WAS ND servers, what do I do for the second Server "C" as there is no another IBM HTTP Server?

I was thinking about using the "Share" option but not sure if that works.

Any suggestions how to best way to accomplish this? Thanks.
