Hi Samantha,
On a functional level, the new operational dashboard capabilities allow developers & service consumers to develop, debug and troubleshoot without having to involve the DataPower Engineer/Admin teams. The self-service capabilities exposed in the Operational Dashboard promote a continuous development, continuous testing & delivery model, also relieveing the admin team from some of the ongoing maintenance tasks, freeing them up for new project work.
Another key feature new to the Datapower platform is the JavaScript-based gateway runtime. The opening of that door widens the scope of developers who will now feel more comfortable creating and leveraging services that they once needed a deep knowldge of XSLT for. This GatewayScript(TM) lends itself to a DevOps culture - by adding speed and accessability to the DataPower platform from a development perspective.
If you were looking for a deeper, more technical response - let's get in touch and I will be happy to have one of our SME's join us!
Sincerely,
Miles Roty

How does the IBM DataPower Operations Dashboard fit into a DevOps type of environment? How does the dashboard know of any new instances of DataPower?
