When I run significance testing in custom tables, the significance reference is placed in the same cell as the count value. Is there a way to separate the value from the significance reference so these appear in different cells?

no sorry you can only create a separate table

On the Test Statistics tab of custom tables dialog at right site there is the section "Identify significant differences". There you can select to get a separate table for the significant cell values or to have them on main Custom table, but you cannot have the flag for a significant cell in a new cell next to the data value on the table. Maybe it would be possible with Python scripting but we do not have an example on how to program this.
