    "You are locked out of the ASMI after you enter the default user ID and password either incorrectly or more than five times. Reset the default password and network settings to the default settings using one of the following methods:

    * Request a new login password from your authorized service provider.
    * Use the service processor reset toggle switches to reset the default password and network settings; refer to Table 2. This task requires removing the service processor card from the server."

    Right, you should enter the APV code from the HMC.

    To reset the ASMI password, call IBM and they will give you a login (celogin, iirc) based on the frame's SN that's good for one day and you can reset general and admin then. However, I think you'll have to redo the HMC connection to the frame after that with the new password as well.
